Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson comes from a musical family. Growing up, she listened to lots of classical music and old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is a fan of tangos, as well as the dramatic and opera performances. Ana started learning how to play and sing in the early years with her mother. She received more formal singing instruction at the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. When she was a student, as well as a young professional within Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups as well as choruses. In 2000, she relocated back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007 she moved to her new home in Southern California. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classical Latin American music at private occasions. The passion and love she has for music, art, and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands (as as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is grateful to the Inland Master Chorale for their permission to play traditional Latin American song.
